No Time To explain
I'm a blogger from the future, there’s no time to explain!

So, “No Time to Explain,” this was originally a free flash game by Tom Brien (I don't know him ether)
Later, after the game got high praise, he decided to release a full version of the game under the company name Tiny Build Games (I don't know them either) and after being on Kickstarter and then some time, the game was finished and it got green lighted on steam. (at least I know what a steam is).

Ok, so now that the history lesson is over on to the game.

No Time to explain is a platformer much like a Mario game with Super Meat Boy levels, which is good and all, but what really makes this game different in a game play prospective is the gun, not like a BOOM gun, more like a “FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo.....” gun.
You see this gun fires a big blue lazer were ever you point and click. Now, there are no enemies to kill so what is the gun for? Well you see, your charterers dexterity is like at a 3 at best and there’s some big holes you have to jump over and you just can’t do it without the guns help.
The gun has a super strong kick back so you can use that to move around, but it's not as simple as pointing it down and flying in to space, it can only push you with a strong force for a short amount of time, then it gets weaker and weaker and weaker till it's out of power.
That's not the only gun in the game there a lot of different... things... that change the way you play the game so just when you think “Yah, I got this gun thing down,” you go to the next level and then you have to eat the cake so you can become fat and heavy so you can roll down the hill and brake the wall but if you touch the spikes you will become your skinny light self but when you’re fat you can’t use the gun as efficiently, and on the next level you get no gun but you can use this slime stuff to launch your self, then there’s the shot gun and the level where you’re in a straight jacket and, you get the idea.

Ok so sounds weird doesn't it? And you would be right.

The story is like (Doctor Who quote here) and the first game to make me laugh like actually laugh, not at a glitch or an inside joke among my friends (yes I have those) but at some thing that was actually put in the game, and this isn't a one time thing either, this has happened multiple times.
So what is this story you ask? Well your future self needs your help when suddenly...
A GIANT SPACE CRAB ALIEN GRABS HIM AND RUNS OFF!!!
Sorry, I had to do that but the game has you travel through time and it has all the paradoxes in it, even the one where your evil self trys to kill you.
The game doesn't give you that much story or even an explanation to what is going on. One second you just beat a hard level and then the next then you know your on a life boat and there’s a giant shark octopus that shots lasers trying to kill, for just no reason, it comes out of no where and tries to kill you. This game is like that friend, you know the one where your just sitting in class and he randomly says something like:
You know what would be cool?”
If like an army of dinosaur-tanks with lasers would fly over the school and kill all of us!”
And the teacher is like:
SIT DOWN!”

Now the game is not perfect some of the textures overlap and look weird and some of the bosses glitched out for me.
But all that stuff that can be fixed with time. But you probably won’t see the new TinyBuildGames fix these problems because now that they have the successful game “No Time To Explain,” they have run off to make their next big game, which isn't a bad thing, this is in fact, great that they’re going to make more games with the same humor and style of this game, but in doing so they might forget this game, just because they released the game doesn't mean they should end it there. You see, they released the game for pc,that means you can update it when ever you want and yes I know they released a free DLC (I'll go over DLC one day) but that does not mean as they make new games they will go back to this one to fix small problems.

But in defense, those small problems give the game a certain feel to it, not like a Sonic 06 feel but a “Hey, this game is an indie game and you love it” I don't know it's hard to explain probably because this is the first of it's kind but don't just blindly take my word for it, you can still play the free flash version:

and everywere.

Oh what’s that? I forgot to quote the game, OK.

MY RIBS ARE IN MY EYES!

There now you have to play the game.

Audiosurf
The game that made music fun to play on a pc

Audiosurf is a rhythm game like Guitar Hero...
AND SO MUCH BETTER!!!!

But, before I go in to a big, long rant about how much better this game is compared to other rhythm games, I should probably tell you what it is.

Audiosurf is a game where you surf audio fills. Yep, that's the idea of the game you see you fly a ship on track with three lanis and as you fly along the track you have to grab and avoid these block things that match with the music.

Now the game is cooler then I just described it.\

So, in the game you can pick a lot of different modes and difficulties to play on, personally I think mono is the best. All you have to do is avoid gray blocks and grab the pretty glowing ones, all the other modes are a bunch of different colored blocks and you trying to get combos with each ship having a different abilities like breaking gray blocks or grabbing one block to use for later.
Now the game play isn't the best, all you do is move a ship back and forth to get points, what really makes this game fun is the fact that you play on songs, not just the songs in the game, your songs that you like.
From the title you can guess that you surf on audio and you do, but you get to pick which audio. The way this works is the game opens up your finder and you can look through your iTunes, folders, USB, or CD for music to play, then after you select the song you what to play the game analyzes it and makes a track for you to surf on, and here’s the best part: IT GOES WITH THE MUSIC!
If you’re playing a slow classical song then the level will be slow with deep-colored blocks and a smooth track.
If you play a fast rock song the level will have a lot of blocks going by very fast with bright colors.

This game has done what Guitar Hero could never do, it made it so you can play with your own music and any one can do it. It's not hard at all! All you have to do is move the mouse side to side and if you can’t do that, there’s a freestyle mode were the music plays nonstop and it fly’s the ship for you (this is a great way to play music at parties) and you don't have to buy expensive plastic toys to play it.

But enough of my opinion it's time to be realistic

Now for as original and fun this game is it can get old fast but that all depends on how much you like listening to your music and playing for a high score.
It's pretty forgetful as a game and can be hard to play songs if you don't have them on your pc or if you just listen to the radio.

The game is 9.99 which is a good price since you have to “buy” all your own music but it makes up that for the fact that you play against people who play the same song as you.
Yeah, that's how the high scores work. Say you have a song you like. It's too well known but it's a good song when you play it on audiogram after you finish, the song it gives you your high score and the score board for that song.
And I don't know how but the game can tell what song it is and give you the scores of people who played the song, which is a great fact a lot of people over look.

It's sad how a game that's so original and has mastered the art of connecting you with your music gets over shadowed buy all the games it could be helping. Wouldn’t it be cool if in a racing game I could pick one of my songs and the game would give me the best track and car to drive to it, or if I'm going on a quest for the king in an adventure game I pick the songs I want to hear on the way and the game makes dungeons and enemy’s around the music.

Audiosruf shouldn’t be looked at as just an inventive game but as a tool to help enforce the feeling of control and customization for future games.

All and all, if you like music and need a game to just lay back and relax with then don't pass over this game.

Pokemon X and Pokemon Y
we weren't eXpecting that.

So Pokemon has just announced the newest generation of Pokemon games for the 3DS, Pokemon X and Pokemon Y.
I know not the best names, but at least it's not black and white!
So the game is a big step in the Pokemon franchise with them finally getting over their love affair with the DS and releasing a full Pokemon game on the 3DS. Now this is going to be a big change to all Pokemon fans with the game being in full 3D but even though it's a big change it still looks like Pokemon and you've got to admit the battles look even cooler then Battle Revaluation.

Looking at the game trailer it looks like this game is modeled after places like England and France but if I could point out something everyone seemed to miss: at the beginning a Pikachu says that this is a big announcement for the world blah blah blah POKEMON, then it zooms out and the trailer starts, but if you pause it as it zooms out, you can see what the Pikachu is standing on.

I do believe that's the EIFFEL TOWER! So we can take a good guess that this game is based off of Paris.
Now on to the Pokemon, but before I go on, I just want to say, for me personally I like them when they feel like Pokemon, black and white didn't feel like Pokemon to me now I have grown to like some of them, but I am going to be more open with this generation.

So here are the three starters:

First we have the grass starter Chespin, which looks like a grass version of a pachirisu so expect a lot of girls to pick that one.

Next, we have the fire starter Fennekin, which is just another fire fox Pokemon so this one will be the most popular, the fire types always are.

And finally we have the water starter Froakie, now this has got to be my favorite design just look at him! He's a french frog that's awesome!

Now we don't have their evolutions yet but I think we all know who were going to pick, and I would like to say I really like their names not too hard to pronounce but still very cool.

Now the two legendaries don't know their names yet so we'll just call them legend-X and legend-Y.

Legend-Y is the more loved of the two and you can see why. I haven’t seen a Pokemon that crazy since giratina and I know it's just as cool and is going to have a good story behind it.

Legend-X the Pokemon arces could never be.
This Pokemon looks like it jumped out of a hayao miyazaki movie and that makes it cool in my book (or blog), but I think I need to point out a certain fake Pokemon game that went around in the past and how there might be something similar now.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

Now the biggest thing the games have going for them is the fact that their being released on the same day WORLD WIDE, that's right! The Japan's versions and the western versions are being released at the same time.
This isn't just big for Pokemon, this is big for gaming in general, since forever Pokemon games were released in japan, then America, then every were else. So now we all get the games at the same time which means we all play at the same time and we all have the same experience.
With the power of the Internet you can go to google and look up the game you want to know about and right away know ever thing about it even before it gets to America.

It's 2013 the world is no longer that big of a place we need to stop treating it like it is.
